BESTEP is highly trusted for its validity and reliability. Numerous public and private institutions, schools, and national examinations in Taiwan accept BESTEP as proof of English proficiency for further education and employment. This alleviates the pressure and financial burden of taking other English tests for Taiwanese students.

  • The MOE Taiwan Scholarship for Study Abroad Examination
  • Certification Examination for Proficiency in Teaching Chinese as a Second/Foreign Language

  • BESTEP is also recognized by National Taiwan University as a criterion for study abroad programs, benefiting students pursuing higher education overseas. The number of universities recognizing BESTEP is steadily increasing.

BESTEP includes a letter to explain the scores received. It is provided to facilitate Taiwanese students using BESTEP as proof of English proficiency for summer programs and exchange student applications. Please click here to download.
